Tony Aveling

Tony Aveling
Managing Director

Tony began his training consultancy in 1992 working with organisations throughout Australia and overseas. Prior to this he worked in state government, small business and the mining sector in a variety of roles - from operating heavy machinery to human resources. Tony holds a B.A. (Training and Development) and combined with his extensive experience, particularly across the mining and resources industry, he has gained important insight into competency and development needs.

In 1997 Tony began Tony Aveling & Associates, now known as AVELING. From a sole-trader organisation delivering one course, AVELING has grown under Tony’s leadership to be one of the most recognised training providers in Western Australia. With more than 35 permanent staff and 20 training and development consultants across multiple locations, AVELING now delivers 21 nationally recognised programs as well as a suite of courses across Safety, Leadership and E-learning.


Lauren Aveling

Lauren Aveling
Manager, Corporate
Services

After commencing her career as a physiotherapist in the WA health system, Lauren joined AVELING in 2006. Her broad experience across all areas of the organisation has enabled her to contribute to its evolution and continued success.

Lauren holds a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and in 2010 she completed the Curtin Business Owner Growth Program. As Manager, Corporate Services, Lauren’s portfolio includes Human Resources and Compliance as well as oversight of Business Development, Marketing and Administration.


Jayson Aveling

Jayson Aveling
Manager, Training & Development

As Manager, Training and Development, Jayson is responsible for the E-learning Division, Safety Training Division, Consultants and Key Client Liaison. Jayson began working in the mining industry in 1989 and has since held a variety of roles within this sector, including advisory roles in corporate and specialist training.

An electrician special class by trade, Jayson’s extensive mining industry knowledge is a vital asset to AVELING. Jayson has worked at AVELING for 10 years and has a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment.


Anne Seager

Anne Seager
Business Support Manager

Anne has been with AVELING since 2004, bringing more than 20 years experience in the Training and Development sector. As Business Support Manager, Anne is responsible for the Leadership Division and is involved in business development, client liaison, product development, marketing, staff mentoring and compliance.

With a background in Training Operations Management, Anne has extensive experience in staff leadership and team building. Anne holds a Diploma of Business (Frontline Management) and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.


Tracey King

Tracey King
Administration Manager

Tracey King has worked for AVELING since 2003 and is currently responsible for the management of Administration, Accounts, Catering and Facilities staff. Tracey is passionate about providing the highest standard of service, which is reflected in the feedback from established and new clients alike.

Tracey has previously worked for a number of commercial service companies in an administration, payroll and coordinator capacity, and has a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.


Mark King

Mark King
Strategy and Business Development Manager

Mark King joined AVELING in 2007 to lead the development of the E-Learning Division. In December 2010, he took on his current position as Strategy and Business Development Manager. In this role, Mark is responsible for Marketing and Business Development and is involved in the development of AVELING’s strategic direction.

Mark has previously worked in the IT Defence Industry in a wide range of operational, supervisory and management positions. He has an Associate Degree in Science and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. In 2010 Mark completed the Curtin Business Owner Growth Program.


Darrell Wilson

Darrell Wilson
Client Manager

Darrell joined the team at AVELING in 2009, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise in marketing, customised training, corporate memberships and business development. Over his career, Darrell has worked in both small and multinational organisations across a variety of industries.

As Client Manager at AVELING, Darrell liaises with clients to determine their business and employee development needs and find suitable solutions. Darrell has a Diploma in Marketing from the College of Advanced Education in New South Wales.
