We’ve compiled a list of frequently asked questions about courses at Aveling and our learning management system.

Aveling’s online learning management system:

Click on the ‘Request your details’ link on the login page and fill in your details. Your password will be emailed to you.

Contact Aveling directly by phone on 1300 665 015 or click on the Contact Us link and send us an email.

Yes, our courses are distributed via the internet and can be accessed from any internet-enabled computer.

Most courses have a certain time period in which your account is active. If you don’t want to continue with the course, simply wait until this time period is over and the system will automatically disable the account.

Yes, you can enrol in as many courses as you want.

Aveling takes security very seriously and treats it with the highest importance. We encrypt all personal information and credit card details using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology. You will know that your details are being encrypted when the letters “https:” appear in the address bar and a small padlock appears at the bottom of your browser.

For extra security, Aveling will never e-mail or call you to ask you to disclose/verify your username and/or password or confirm credit card details. Any such requests should be disregarded.

  • Newest version of Google Chrome, Firefox, MS Edge, or Safari. Google Chrome is recommended.
  • Browser must have JavaScript enabled.
  • Speakers or headphones are required.
  • Internet connection with 2.5 Mbps+.
  • Check that a company firewall is not blocking the video content.
  • Some courses require access to a device with a front facing camera for authentication and assessment purposes. Please check the course webpage for requirements.

Courses are regularly reviewed and updated to ensure they continue to reflect the latest knowledge and skills. Learn more about superseded courses.

Aveling is not CRICOS registered, and is therefore unable to provide training to overseas students on a student visa, with the exception of several exempt courses. Learn more about options for international students.

Your current workplace skills and knowledge, life experience and past learning and education can be recognised and contribute to a new qualification, which can reduce the time to complete the new course. To achieve this Aveling will assess you using a formal competency-based assessment process.

Aveling does not offer scholarships, however there are a number of third party funding opportunities that can help you in your studies at Aveling.

Your booking confirmation email will detail anything specific you need to bring with you to your classroom course at Aveling.

In general, you should bring photo identification, your preferred notetaking tools (stationery or laptop/tablet), snacks and lunch (if not provided in your course – you can also purchase these from our onsite cafe), and wear comfortable clothing with closed in shoes.

Aveling provides free wifi and notepads and pens should you need them.

We have strict start times for our classroom courses to minimise disruption to other learners and ensure you don’t miss anything important. For this reason we may need to reschedule your booking if you are not on time.
