Through innovative technology, participants will gain practical experience in using fire extinguishers and fire blankets to extinguish real fires in a safe environment. Our fire training course provides all participants with an opportunity to: extinguish live flames by learning the procedures to roll out, discharge and wind up fire hose reels; and utilise a fire blanket. AVELING’s fire training simulator provides a clean, safe and cost-effective fire training environment without the use of dry chemicals or CO2. The course also provides the necessary theoretical knowledge on classifying types of fires and selecting appropriate portable firefighting equipment.
While the course is suitable for anyone who wants to learn how to operate simple firefighting equipment whether at work or home, it is particularly recommended for employees and OSH representatives in the following industries: construction, mining, resources, manufacturing, administrative areas and retail.
Please note: Candidates are required to wear enclosed footwear, long sleeved shirt and trousers of a non-flammable material.
At the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify and classify fire types and fire extinguishers;
- Use a fire extinguisher to extinguish a fire; and,
- Demonstrate the correct usage of a fire hose reel and blankets.
