Overview

Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) is an engaging online course, using practical scenarios to cover relevant RSA laws, obligations and responsibilities.

Completion of a Responsible Service of Alcohol course is mandatory in Queensland for anyone who serves, supplies or sells alcohol on licensed premises. Staff members involved in the service or supply of liquor include approved managers, bartenders, glass collectors, floor staff and room service staff. AVELING's course is valid in Queensland and has been approved by Queensland's Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation (OLGR).

  • Sell or serve alcohol responsibly
  • Assist customers to drink within appropriate limits
  • Assess alcohol affected customers and identify customers to whom sale or service must be refused
  • Refuse service in a polite manner and state reasons for the refusal.

Certification

On successful completion participants will receive a Statement of Attainment for the Unit of Competency outlined above from the SIT07 Training Package.
