Notes:
Workplace assignments should be submitted within three months of each course completion.
Courses should be spaced three to four weeks apart to provide the opportunity to complete workplace assignments before the next course commences.
Although not required, it is recommended new or prospective managers should first attend the Fundamentals of Supervision course.
Training Delivery
The training is divided into seven short courses that can be taken in any order. This structure provides the flexibility to balance work and personal commitments whilst completing the program. It also provides the opportunity to apply the course outcomes within the workplace before attending the next course.
During the training, key concepts are presented and reinforced through active discussion, practical examples and group exercises. These activities are led by trainers with real industry experience to provide guidance and insight on how to apply the course concepts to particular circumstances.
Workplace Assessments
After completing each course, participants are given a workplace assignment to demonstrate their ability to apply the course outcomes to a workplace setting. These assignments include third party reports, answering knowledge questions and submitting work samples. Instructions and forms are included with each assignment to assist in their completion.
After each workplace assignment is completed and submitted, an assessor will provide feedback on the outcome of the assessment and request additional evidence if required. Participants have two years to successfully complete all training and workplace assignments.
On successful completion of the program, a nationally recognised BSB51107 Diploma of Management qualification will be issued.
