Overview
This course is designed to provide participants with a practical understanding of the key components of managing a project.
The aim of managing a project is to bring about the successful completion of a specific goal or objective. In this course participants will examine the various aspects of successful project management including planning, organising, securing and managing resources in order to achieve the desired outcome.
Participants are encouraged to apply these techniques to their own current or impending projects.
Intended for
People who plan, organise and manage a straightforward workplace project.
Learning Outcomes
- Scope a straightforward project including project objectives and standards
- Plan and manage project resources
- Plan and manage project risk including project controls
- Plan and manage project timelines and schedules using the Critical Path Analysis technique, Gantt (bar) Charts and schedules
- Deal with project changes/variations

Certification
A Certificate of Participation will be issued at the end of the course.
On successful completion of workplace assignments, a Statement of Attainment will be issued for the Unit of Competency outlined above from the BSB07 Training Package.
Customised Training
If you have six or more participants, the program can be presented at your workplace, using customised site based examples.
