1/3/2009 AVELING Launches Responsible Service of Alcohol Online Course

AVELING is delighted to announce the launch of its highly anticipated online Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) course. The course is the second publicly available product that AVELING has launched and builds upon the successes of the Blue Card online course.

The course covers mandatory topics like liquor laws, roles and responsibilities when serving alcohol and alcohol facts and myths.

One of the major drawcards of the course is that it includes realistic scenarios in which learners deal with situations they're likely to encounter in their day-to-day job. Learners must decide upon the best way of managing intoxicated, disorderly and underage customers. During each scenario, continuous feedback explains to learners whether their approach is suitable and why this is.

AVELING have integrated much of the existing functionality that was so highly acclaimed in the Blue Card course into RSA. This means that learners can do the course:

  • Anywhere that has internet access, at any time
  • At their own pace because the course bookmarks people's progress
  • And try the course obligation-free, since payment isn't taken until course completion

The course will take learners approximately three hours to complete and costs $75. It is nationally recognised within the Australian Qualifications Framework by the Training Accreditation Council for SITHFAB009A Provide responsible service of alcohol.
