AVELING - Rio announces Supplier Recognition Finalists

Rio Tinto Iron Ore has announced the finalists of their Supplier Recognition Programme 2010 Excellence Award.  

The Supplier Recognition Programme was introduced in 1999 and recognises suppliers who provide outstanding goods and services to Rio Tinto’s Iron Ore group.

The aim of the Excellence Award is to identify improvement opportunities for the total supply chain through the formal recognition of outstanding supplier performance. The winners of each category are the best performers in safety, quality, cost and innovation.

Categories include Goods, Services, Intellectual Services and Construction & Maintenance. All category winners and the overall winner will be announced at the Excellence Awards function on 11th February 2011.
