WA WHS Legislation Delayed

In a media statement from Commerce Minister Simon O'Brien, the Western Australian Government confirmed it will delay the implementation of the Workplace Health and Safety Legislation until later in the 2012 calendar year.

According to the Minister, the original proposed date of 1st January 2012 did not provide enough time to determine the full impact on business in introducing a new set of laws, particularly those in the small business sector.
