Overview
This course is designed to help participants identify and undertake a first response approach to controlling a chemical spill.
During the course participants will learn the characteristics and purpose of different spill control equipment as well as the application of each.

For operational personnel who may be required to identify and control a chemical spill.
Outcomes
As a result of attending this course, participants should be able to:
- Identify chemicals in the workplace
- Review a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)
- Follow chemical response procedures
- Respond to a chemical spill using spill kits and tools
- Follow company reporting procedures.
