Construction Blue/White Card Course Information

The Occupational Safety and Health Regulations (1996) have changed to reflect the national approach to construction induction training endorsed by industry Australia wide.

Since January 2007, WorkSafe Inspectors began enforcing the Construction Training laws in Western Australia. This means a Blue/White Card is required for a wide range of activities for people involved in construction in WA.

The Blue/White Card is a nationally accredited unit of competencyfrom the CPC08 Construction, Plumbing and Services Integrated Framework Training Package. A Statement of Attainment (CPCCOHS1001A Work safely in the construction industry) is issued upon successful completion.

Participants can apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Please contact us for more information.

Blue/White Card Pre-requisites

There are no restrictions on entry to this course, however participants are required to have sufficient numeracy and literacy skills to read and comprehend instruction for a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).

  • Safety and health representatives and committees.
  • Resolution of workplace issues.
  • The right to refuse work.
  • Applying workplace policies and procedures.
  • Reporting and documentation requirements.
