Certificate III in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS)

Overview

AVELING offers you a flexible solution to obtain your Certificate III in Occupational Health and Safety qualification.

The qualification consists of five days face-to-face training, underpinning knowledge questions, third party reports and workplace assignments.

Learning and assessment activities involve specific work tasks relevant to the particular workplace. This provides a benefit to both the employee and employer. Learners are able to apply the knowledge as they learn by focussing on practical work examples.

Intended for

This qualification is for people whose main job is not dedicated to OHS but who take it on as a voluntary duty.

This could include Safety and Health Representatives (SHRs) and anyone interested in an entry point into OHS studies.

Qualification Structure

The qualification is delivered over 5 days and comprises of 12 Units of Competency. Participants need to complete all 12 Units of Competency to obtain the qualification.

A Certificate will be issued on successful completion and subsequent assessment of:

Prerequisites

Participants are required to have sufficient language, literacy, numeracy and computer skills. Participants will need access to a workplace to complete learning and assessment activities.

  • Minimum dress standard - neat casual, enclosed footwear and no singlets

Cancellation Policy

To cancel a booking for a course that runs for two or more days, 8 working days are required to enable a full refund, if between 4 and 7 working days a 50% fee will be incurred. Any cancellation less than 3 working days will incur full costs.
