Overview
This award winning safety program provides participants with the knowledge to identify and manage hazards successfully in the workplace.
The emphasis of the program is on no-nonsense, practical learning tools that can be readily transferred to the work environment.
Participants will learn to fulfil their duty of care obligations for the health, safety and welfare of employees under the Western Australian Occupational Safety and Health Act (1984).
Intended for
Anyone who need to fulfil their duty of care requirements in terms of hazard management.
Learning Outcomes
- Understand hazard management, including identifying types of hazards and determining threats
- Understand and interpret the hierarchy of control
- Deal with incidents effectively
- Determine consequences
- Assess risks
- Develop a Job Safety Analysis
Certification
A Certificate of Participation will be issued at the end of this course.
Customised Training
If you have six or more participants, the program can be presented at your workplace, using customised site based examples.
WA WorkSafe Award
This course won the WA WorkSafe Award in 2005, recognising outstanding achievements that contribute to reducing safety and health risks in the workplace.

- Must bring identification
- Minimum dress standard - neat casual, enclosed footwear and no singlets
