Overview
It is essential that team leaders be able to provide OSH information to their workgroup. This course delivers an understanding of risk management and the ‘duty of care’ requirements that are an essential aspect in the provision of a safe workplace environment.
Recommended For
Current supervisors without any formal training, team members or managers who need to understand their ‘duty of care’ obligations.
Outcomes
As a result of attending this program, participants should be able to:
- Provide information to their workgroup about OHS policies and procedures
- Identify hazards and assess risk
- Implement procedures for controlling risk
- Implement procedures for maintaining OHS records
Participants can register to be assessed against the Unit of Competency BSBOHS407A Monitor a Safe Workplace. This involves an additional fee of $120, completing a project in the workplace and submitting for assessment.
Please note: AVELING may cancel courses where there are insufficient numbers. In the event of course cancellation, participants will be notified as soon as possible.
Assessment Only/Recognition of Prior Learning Pathway
People can apply for Assessment Only/Recognition of Prior Learning Pathway if they think they already have the experience relevant to the Unit of Competency or qualification. Please read the attached information to find out how the Assessment Only/RPL process works.
