Taking the White Card AVELING | WA Construction Online Training Course: Frequently Asked Questions

Can I look at the course on more than one computer?

Yes, our courses are distributed via the internet and can be accessed from any internet-enabled computer.

Can I enrol in more than one course?

Yes, you can enrol in as many courses as you want.

What if I don’t like this method of study?

No problems, you don’t usually pay for a course until you finish it, so simply stop using it. In some cases, like the White Card course, you can easily enrol in AVELING’s classroom course instead.

Why do you mention both a WA Construction Blue Card and a WA Construction White Card?

As of 1 September 2009, a new nationally recognised construction safety training course must be offered by all Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) for the unit of competency, ‘CPCCOHS1001A: Work safely in the construction industry’.

Within Western Australia, this course replaces ‘51466 Course in Safety Awareness Training’ (Blue Card) and all Registered Training Providers (RTOs) across Australia must deliver the course from 1st September 2009.

AVELING’s course meets the new national requirements.

How do I unsubscribe from a course?

Most courses have a certain time period in which your account is active. If you don’t want to continue with the course, simply wait until this time period is over and the system will automatically disable the account.

What personal details does AVELING hold? Are these forwarded to other organisations?

AVELING only keeps the personal details it has to keep for auditing and compliance purposes. As a requirement of certain courses, these may be passed on to other agencies, like the Training Accreditation Council or WorkSafe.

We treat your personal details absolutely confidentially and will not pass your details on to third parties for demographical or advertising purposes.
