As of 1 January 2007, WorkSafe Inspectors began enforcing the Construction Safety Awareness Training laws in Western Australia. This means a Blue Card is required for a wide range of activities for people involved in construction in WA.
The Western Australia Blue Card is a nationally accredited short course supported by the WA Occupational Safety and Health Act 1984. A Statement of Attainment (51466 Course in Safety Awareness Training) is issued upon successful completion.
The Safety Awareness Training Certificate is valid for 3 years. Participants can apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Please contact us for more information.
Blue Card Pre-requisites
There are no restrictions on entry to this course, however participants are required to have sufficient numeracy and literacy skills to read and comprehend instruction for:
• A Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS)
