Overview
This practical, hands on five-day Trainer Skill Set is designed for people who want to become a qualified on-the-job instructional trainer without having to complete the full Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
Intended For
People who conduct training to small groups, one-on-one or are required to develop presentation materials for the workplace.
Outcomes
As a result of attending this course, participants should be able to:
- Provide training through instruction and demonstration of work skills
- Facilitate individual learning
- Facilitate work-based learning
- Make a presentation
Participants will receive Statements of Attainment upon successful completion of the training and relevant assignments.
Assessment methods will include observation, answering underpinning knowledge questions, third party reports and demonstration of presenting training sessions.
Assessment Only/Recognition of Prior Learning Pathway
People can apply for Assessment Only/Recognition of Prior Learning Pathway if they think they already have the experience relevant to the Unit of Competency or qualification. Please read the attached information to find out how the Assessment Only/RPL process works.
Prerequisites
There are no restrictions on entry to these courses, however participants are required to have sound language, literacy, numeracy and computer skills. Participants will also need access to a workplace to enable completion of the learning and assessment activities.

Cancellation Policy
To cancel a booking for a course that runs for two or more days, 8 working days are required to enable a full refund, if between 4 and 7 working days a 50% fee will be incurred. Any cancellation less than 3 working days will incur full costs.
