This two day program has been designed for those elected safety and
health representatives looking to update their skills and level of current
knowledge. This refresher course is for those who have attended the
introductory accredited five day training program.
The course will provide additional skills and knowledge to elected safety
and health representatives so that they can continue to represent
employees and effectively participate in an organisation's safety
management program.

Learning Outcomes
As a result of attending this course, participants should be able to:
- Reinforce objectives outlined in legislation in the role of a Safety and Health Representative.
- Discuss recent legislation amendments and how to apply them to the workplace.
- Communicate on safety and health matters and represent employees.
- Discuss conflict and issue provisional improvement notices in the role of a Safety and Health Representative.

Pre-requisites
There are no restrictions on entry to this course, however participants
are required to have sufficient numeracy and literacy skills to read and
comprehend instruction for:
- Referencing and understanding legislation, standards and codes of
practice
- Consulting with workers and employers on safety issues.
There are no formal assessments or written tests, however participants will be expected to contribute and demonstrate key skills and knowledge throughout the course.
