The TAESS00014 – Enterprise Trainer – Presenting Skill Set provides the skills and knowledge needed for training under supervision in the VET sector.
This skillset aims to enhance the competence and confidence of workplace trainers to make presentations and facilitate learning and activities in small and large classroom style groups (under supervision).
This skill set is intended for anyone who will be required to train others within a workplace and who may be involved in coaching. It is suitable for those who will mainly work in a classroom style situation. This may include: HR staff who conduct employee inductions; supervisors who train staff on policies and procedures; or staff that have been identified as having particular skills and experience that benefit others.
Note: This skill set does not qualify you to train nationally recognised courses unless you are under the supervision of a fully certified vocational trainer. If you are interested in training nationally recognised courses, please see TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
Upon successful completion of this skill set you will be able to:
- Prepare and deliver effective presentations that use appropriate materials;
- Provide training that involves the demonstration and instruction of relevant work skills;
- Adjust training to meet the needs of different group characteristics and audience needs;
- Develop and use effective communication skills; and,
- Review your presentations and training for future improvement and self-development.
