The mental health of FIFO workers and their families has come under scrutiny following media reports of suicides and the recent WA Parliamentary Inquiry into FIFO Mental Health. Following the release of the Inquiry’s report, this course provides an overview of the factors that impact on FIFO families and their mental health.
Participants will be better able to understand:
- The FIFO work pattern and its challenges
- Mental health risk factors for FIFO workers and their families
- Planning for FIFO and preventing problems from escalating
- Resources available to support mental health for FIFO
