This skills set will provide you with the knowledge and skills to be able to follow the safety requirements necessary when a person works on energised low voltage apparatus.
It will also provide you with fundamental first aid skills to rescue a person who is receiving an electrical shock, and perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) on them.
This course has been designed to be delivered in an intensive model, using a blended structure of Face to Face training and Online Learning and Assessments (listed below). It is expected that participants will access and complete some work online, in addition to attending the course onsite at AVELING.
Units of Competency
UETSS00029 – Refresher – Perform Rescue from a Live LV Panel and CPR Skill Set consists of the following two nationally recognised units of competency:
- HLTAID001 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- UETTDRRF06B Perform rescue from a live LV panel

Before undertaking the face to face course, students must complete the two online modules.
Before moving to the afternoon session (low voltage rescue), you will have had to successfully passed the morning session (CPR).

Anybody who works on or near live low voltage electricity and may be required to act as an observer or rescue someone from a live LV panel/apparatus.
A certificate of qualification and statement of attainment will be issued after being deemed competent having successfully:
