This skills set will provide you with the knowledge and skills to follow safety requirements when work is being performed on energised low voltage apparatus.
It will also provide you with fundamental first aid skills to rescue a person who is receiving an electrical shock, and perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) on them.
This course uses a blended structure of face to face training for the practical components of the course and online learning and assessments for the theory. Participants will access and complete work online, in addition to attending the course onsite at AVELING.
Units of Competency
UETSS00029 – Refresher – Perform Rescue from a Live LV Panel and CPR Skill Set consists of the following two nationally recognised units of competency:
- HLTAID001 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- UETTDRRF06B Perform rescue from a live LV panel
All theory components will be covered in online learning module, which will take approximately 2 hours to complete. You will be sent the links to the online modules when you enrol in the course and will need to complete these before undertaking the face to face course.
Before undertaking the face to face course, students must complete the two online modules.

Anybody who works on or near live low voltage electricity and may be required to act as an observer or rescue someone from a live LV panel/apparatus.
A certificate of qualification and statement of attainment will be issued after being deemed competent having successfully:
- Attended the course and completed all in-class assessments and practical components
- Completed the required online learning and assessment activities
