Learn how to manage and minimise the risks associated with power lines.
Working near overhead and underground power lines comes with serious hazards.
We’ve designed the Working Near Overground Power Lines training course to teach you about the processes and procedures that you can put in place to manage and minimise the risks associated with power lines.
You’ll explore the legislative framework for working near overhead and underground power lines, including Safe Work Australia’s codes of conduct and guidelines.
Managing electrical risks is essential to maintaining a safe workplace and preventing incidents. You’ll learn how to manage risks through appropriate risk management processes, and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
Specifically, you’ll understand the steps to follow, safe approach distances and work zones when working near overhead and underground power lines, as well as emergency plans and rescue procedures.
This short online course is an ideal introduction to the topic of working safely near overhead powerlines, or supplementary information to a more in-depth electrical safety program.
