Important information for participants booked onto Rio Tinto induction courses:
In response to the evolving COVID situation, the below applies to candidates attending Rio Tinto inductions at AVELING Jandakot from 5 May.
As of 5 May, Rio Tinto requires all participants to undergo a 2 point COVID screening at AVELING Jandakot prior to commencing training.
The screening is made up of:
1. Questionnaire covering travel, hotspots, symptoms
2. Temperature – taken with a non-touch thermometer
Please allow 10-15 minutes for the screening process and as per government requirements, a mask must be worn at all times during attendance at AVELING.
To ensure all candidates are processed and in their classroom at the commencement time, we are requesting candidates arrive at Jandakot by 7.30am for morning courses commencing at 8am and 30 minutes prior to start time for mid-morning or afternoon courses.

Participants on all other courses must follow COVID-safe guidelines including receiving a temperature check upon arrival at AVELING, check in with the Safe WA app or signing the contact register and wearing a mask at all times.
