Whistling Eagle Café is a modern and friendly spot located within Aveling’s Jandakot facility.

We serve up delicious breakfast and lunch options, along with freshly brewed coffee and morning tea. Our menu is carefully crafted to offer a range of choices for everyone, from classic pastries and chips to healthy and hearty salads, sandwiches and hot dishes.

Perfect for breakfast and lunch, as well as coffee and morning tea, Whistling Eagle Cafe is frequented by local businesses and Aveling learners preparing for a day of learning.

Jandakot - 'place of the Whistling Eagle'

The suburb of Jandakot takes its name from the townsite, Jandakot and Lake Jandakot which was recorded with this name as early as 1844. It is an indigenous word said to mean 'place of the Whistling Eagle'.*
We have named our cafe the Whistling Eagle Cafe in tribute to this history and the traditional custodians of this land, and the glorious Whistling Eagles that call out over the skies of Jandakot.

Visiting Whistling Eagle Café

Our café is the perfect place to start your day, with our doors opening at 7.30am, Monday to Friday. We believe that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and that’s why we take great care in ensuring that each dish is made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. From healthy yoghurt cups to pastries, hashbrowns, sausages and muffins, our breakfast options are sure to leave you feeling satisfied and energized for the day ahead.

We also serve up a range of delicious lunch options that are perfect for a midday break. Our salads and sandwiches are made with the freshest ingredients, and we have a range of vegetarian and gluten-free options to accommodate all dietary needs. And of course, no lunch would be complete without a cup of coffee or tea – our baristas are trained to create the perfect brew every time, so you can sit back and enjoy a hot, delicious drink with your meal.
