Aveling’s BSB40520 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management has been designed with a practical and interactive learning approach, where classroom learning is followed up with the opportunity to apply what you have learned in a workplace setting before moving onto the next session.
This learning strategy enhances the ability of learners to solidify their learning, as well as providing a fun and enjoyable learning experience.
As you proceed through the program and successfully complete the course requirements, you will achieve the following Nationally Recognised Units of Competency.
These sessions can be completed in any order, but all four must be successfully completed to achieve the qualification.
*You will spend 9 days in classroom training, and the expected duration to complete all learning and assessment requirements is 12 months.

This course includes workplace assessments, designed to solidify your classroom learning.
Assessments include knowledge questions, workplace assessments relevant to each session and workplace observation reports (to be completed by your supervisor or manager). Assessments are to be completed after each classroom session.

This qualification forms a solid foundation for lifelong learning. Two Units of Competency from this course can be used towards Aveling’s BSB50420 Diploma in Leadership and Management, should you wish to pursue that next and further progress your learning and career.

Certificate IV learner requirements
It is expected that learners applying to a Certificate IV level course meet the following requirements:
Language Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) Survey
If this is your first Aveling course, you will be required to complete a Language Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) survey to provide us with an understanding of your level of literacy and numeracy.
Based on the outcome of the survey, we may contact you to discuss options that will best suit your individual learning needs. If literacy support is required, additional costs may be incurred.
