Rio Tinto Iron Ore (WA) (RTIO) inductions are bookable by employers on behalf of employees and contractors.
Please note: In line with new Work Health & Safety regulations which have been introduced, RTIO has implemented a personnel qualification system across their Australian supplier base. This system, called Avetta, provides verification and audit services to RTIO Suppliers, including Aveling, and is made up of two parts: Avetta Connect and Pegasus Workforce.
The implementation of this new system means some of the courses previously offered by Aveling are now provided by RTIO online through the Pegasus Workforce system. Please refer to the individual training pages for more information.
These courses deal with Rio Tinto Iron Ore (WA) safe electrical work procedures, management of electrical and arc flash hazards and the selection of correct arc flash personal protective equipment (PPE).
These courses cover the Isolation Work Practice (IWP) which provides a set of procedures that enable work to be performed safely.
The PRH Essentials For Site has been designed to enhance the learning and retention of key safety information and contributes to Rio Tinto’s goal of ensuring people, environment and workplaces are safe.
Aveling acknowledges the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia. We pay our respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, and to Elders past and present.
