Fire Training Perth (CPPFES2005 – Demonstrate first attack firefighting equipment)

This course is delivered in the classroom, over half a day at our Jandakot training centre, just 15 minutes from the Perth CBD.

You will take part in engaging discussion and practical skills development, as you explore the topics presented by our expert trainer.

Upon successful completion of all learning and assessments for this course, you will receive a statement of attainment for the following Nationally Recognised Unit of Competency:

CPPFES2005 – Demonstrate first attack firefighting equipment

Assessment for this unit of competency is conducted during the course and includes practical activites and knowledge questions.

At the end of this course, learners will be able to:

• Identify and classify fire types and fire extinguishers;
• Use a fire extinguisher to extinguish a fire; and,
• Demonstrate the correct usage of a fire hose reel and blankets.

It is expected that learners applying to this course at Aveling meet the following requirements:

• Over 16 years of age (if under 18 we require parent or guardian permission)
• Professional working proficiency in English
