This interactive online course provides you with an introduction to mining supervisors’ responsibilities, duties, and obligations under Western Australia’s new Work Health and Safety (WHS) Act (2020) and the associated WHS (Mines) Regulations 2022.
Supervisors play an essential role at mine sites by helping mine operators to fulfill their compliance obligations under WA’s work health and safety laws.
If you are a supervisor, on the road to promotion, or just need to understand the basic responsibilities of supervisors in WA mine sites, this course is for you.
WHS SRMS is made up of short easy-to-follow videos that guide you through the specific parts of the legislation that are relevant to the role of supervisor.
This is an introductory course that does not provide any accreditation. If you require the two Units of Competency under Schedule 26 for Statutory Supervisors, you will need to complete the Statutory Supervisor course. WHS SRMS is the perfect introduction to the topic, before you complete the Statutory Supervisor course (as required).
This course is delivered via Aveling’s online Learning Management System (LMS). Once you have booked and paid, you will receive a booking confirmation email containing a link to gain access to the system and your course.

Upon successful completion of this course, you will gain a general understanding of the responsibilities of mine site supervisors in Western Australia.
