Understand the dangers posed by forklifts and how you can keep your workplace safe.
The use of forklifts in the workplace can pose considerable danger to workers. Our Forklift Safety Awareness training course introduces you to information about how forklifts operate, and how to work safely in environments where forklifts are present.
Although this course does not qualify you to operate forklifts or other mobile equipment, it provides you with essential awareness that can significantly contribute to your safety and the safety of those around you.
You will learn about common accidents and safety issues and gain valuable insights into planning loads, shifting hazards, and best practices to minimise risks.
You will learn about the importance of conducting pre-operational checks, and the significance of ensuring the load is within the forklift’s capacity limits and how to assess the working environment for potential hazards such as avoiding sudden movements, and maintaining proper visibility. By understanding these procedures, you will be better placed to work alongside forklifts safely.
By prioritising safety, adhering to protocols, and implementing the knowledge gained from this training, you can help prevent accidents and protect yourself and your colleagues.
