When working on or around machinery, it is crucial that you are aware of the hazards and processes involved in ensuring safety amongst workers.
In these settings, isolation procedures, often called ‘Lockout Tagout’, are designed to prevent plant and machinery from activating during maintenance, servicing and cleaning.
This course is designed to help ensure you and your workmates are protected from injury during these phases of work.
In this short online course you will learn the fundamentals of preparing for an isolation, lockout and tagout procedures, storage and disposal and finally, preparing for a restart.
These procedures will differ from workplace to workplace and some employers will have company-specific procedures. Please note: This course is not related to the Rio Tinto Iron Ore Isolation Refresher training.
This course serves to assist your safety awareness by generally covering the lockout tagout procedures you are most likely to encounter in the workplace. However, the course does not qualify you perform lockout tagout procedures.
This course is delivered via Aveling’s online Learning Management System (LMS). Once you have booked and paid, you will receive a booking confirmation email containing a link to gain access to the system and your course.
