Understand the different types of PPE that may be supplied to you at your place of work, as well as correct maintenance and storage.
Worksites can present a range of hazards that workers need to be protected from. This is where Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) comes in.
Aveling’s PPE Safety Essentials course will teach you about the different types of PPE that may be supplied to you at your place of work, as well as employee responsibilities for the maintenance and storage of PPE.
You’ll learn what is meant by ‘duty of care’, before exploring the details of different types of PPE, from clothing and work boots, to hearing and eye protection, respiratory protection, helmets and hand protection, as well as fall arrest equipment and adornments.
You’ll also learn about PPE storage and safety checks to ensure your equipment is well-maintained and continues to be effective when used.
This course is a great introduction to the topic of PPE and can serve as an induction course, and foundation to other more in-depth work health and safety courses.
