Gain the skills and confidence you need as a new supervisor or team leader.
Becoming a supervisor for the first time comes with many challenges and new experiences.
The New Supervisor is a two-day classroom course, designed for those who have been newly promoted to the role of supervisor or team leader, or who are interested in moving into a supervisory position.
Through interactive workshop format, you’ll gain the skills and confidence to excel in your new leadership role. You’ll develop your skills in listening, resolving conflict and giving feedback to employees, and practice techniques for giving clear instructions.
Different leadership models will be explored, and you’ll learn how to use them to improve your team’s performance, and understand management and planning techniques that will help maximise your success.
You’ll identify key behaviours and motivators that you can develop to enhance your supervisory skills, and understand the importance of developing good relationships with employees and peers, so you are seen as fair and consistent.
This course will help you learn how to deal with day-to-day issues in a productive and supportive environment, and smooth the transition as you take the next step in your career.
This course is delivered in the classroom, over two days at our Jandakot training centre, 15 minutes from the Perth CBD.
