Learn how to identify and manage fatigue in the transport industry.
It is important to be aware of the dangers associated with fatigue, particularly while driving heavy vehicles, and ways to help manage the risks to keep everyone safe on the road.
TLIF2010 Apply fatigue management strategies is a Nationally Recognised course, designed for those in the transport industry as a solid foundation of knowledge and understanding of fatigue risks and how to manage them.
This comprehensive course provides the knowledge and skills necessary to understand, prevent, and manage fatigue transport effectively. You will learn about the physical and mental effects of fatigue and how it can affect performance, safety, and overall well-being as a driver or transport team member.
You will learn to recognise the warning signs of fatigue, as well as techniques to prevent and manage fatigue, such as taking regular breaks, practicing good sleep habits, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and knowing when to seek help or rest.
You will gain an understanding of your duty of care and workplace requirements regarding fatigue management, including knowing your responsibilities to yourself, your colleagues, and the public. You will also learn about compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and relevant legislation related to fatigue management.
Examples of real life situations help provide context and aid you in understanding the reality of impacts that fatigue can have in transport.
