This National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) approved course provides you with the skills and knowledge required for road transport schedulers or supervisors/managers to administer a fatigue risk management system within the transport and logistics industry.
You will gain an understanding of the importance of fatigue management, how to apply strategies and procedures to manage it, and understand fatigue management laws, regulations and penalties. You will also learn about chain of responsibility, how to manage driver compliance and trip planning under Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) or Advanced Fatigue Management (AFM).
This unit of competency is one of the mandatory requirements if you wish to schedule drivers to drive fatigue-regulated heavy vehicles under the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) Fatigue Management Accreditation.
This course is delivered via Aveling’s online Learning Management System (LMS). Once you have booked and paid, you will receive a booking confirmation email containing a link to gain access to the system and your course.
This course provides participants with the knowledge and skills to:
Assessments
Assessments for this course include online multiple choice questions and written scenario-based tasks, and a verbal assessment.
The verbal assessment will take place alongside an assurance audit, once all other components are complete.
Assurance audit and verification of ID
Aveling conducts assurance audits on participants completing Nationally Recognised eLearning courses to verify identification and ensure the participant did the course themselves. In addition, it is a requirement of NHVR to verify the identity of the participant at the time of undertaking the assessments.
We do this by taking photos of you undertaking the online learning via the your webcam, as well as taking photos of your photographic ID (e.g. drivers licence) at the start of the course, and asking questions as part of the final assurance audit.
You must successfully pass the assurance audit to complete the course and receive certification.
Upon enrolment you will have 6 months to complete all learning, assessments and the assurance audit.
Upon successful completion, you will receive a Statement of Attainment for the following Nationally Recognised Unit of Competency:
TLIF0006 Administer a fatigue risk management system.

You must have access to a computer with broadband internet and a webcam to complete this course.
