Completing the Elective Unit MLPLCA402A (Manage environments for the sale, supply and service of liquor) will give you the knowledge and skills to manage and supervise environments where alcohol is supplied or sold to the general public. You can enrol in this course if you will operate licensed premises such as bars, taverns, pubs, nightclubs, hotels, restaurants, special events, liquor stores, etc.

Successful completion of both MLPLCA401A and MLPLCA402A will lead to the full qualification and Statement of Attainment for 52735WA Course in Management of Licensed Premises.

Elective Unit MLPLCA403A Manage environments for the production or wholesale supply of liquor

The Elective Unit MLPLCA403A (Manage environments for the production or wholesale supply of liquor) is more specialised and applicable to people working in a management role in any environment that operates under a liquor licence for the purpose of production of liquor or the wholesale supply of liquor that does not involve consumption of liquor on the licensed premises (except offering product samples).

Successful completion of both MLPLCA401A Manage legislative responsibilities for the sale, supply and service of liquor and MLPLCA403A Manage environments for the production or wholesale supply of liquor will lead to the full qualification and Statement of Attainment for 52735WA Course in Management of Licensed Premises.

Entry Requirements

Completion of the Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) course is a prerequisite to this unit and must be completed before starting MLPLCA401A Manage legislative responsibilities for the sale, supply and service of liquor.

  • Face to Face participants must bring their RSA certificate to the training for verification.
  • Self-Paced Learning participants will be required to provide a copy of the RSA certificate.

An Unrestricted Approved Manager is a manager of commercial license types such as taverns, liquor stores, special facility licenses, etc.
