National Careers Week Australia runs from 16-22 May 2022, and is an initiative of the Career Industry Council of Australia.
The whole week celebrates careers and career development, with a range of events and information to raise awareness of opportunities to develop your career.
We’re celebrating by sharing how training and development can help you boost your career, at any stage in life.
How long has it been since you last took a step back and explored new insights about your industry, or new ways to improve how you lead others, manage your workload, or just gain a different perspective?
Experience means a great deal, but it can also hold you back if you’re not open to growth and new ways of doing things.
Your experience can be greatly bolstered by combining it with the latest skills, tools and evidence to propel your strategies and plans forward, and better work with those around you.
After all, nothing stays the same in life or the workplace; you change, technology evolves, best-practice improves, and the generations of people you manage will bring with them new knowledge, ideas and values.
Continual professional development will help you keep up and prepare for the future, whilst developing yourself at the same time.
What’s more, there are leadership and development courses to add to your skillset, at any stage of your career:
