Who is this training meant for?

Under the Northern Territory Work Health and Safety (National Uniform Legislation) Regulations, all workers involved in construction work are required to have a White Card. A White Card is evidence that the training has been completed in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations.

A worker that has successfully completed general construction induction training more than two years previously and has not carried out construction work in the preceding two years is required to undergo general construction induction training. A worker carrying out construction work must keep his or her general construction induction training card available for inspection.

    Anyone who wants to work in the construction industry and those currently working in the construction industry that wish to refresh their knowledge.


    On successful completion, participants will receive a WA White Card and a Statement of Attainment for the Unit of Competency CPCCWHS1001 - Prepare to work safely in the construction industry.

    Additional Info

    Participants will have to complete the AVELING assurance audit, verbal assessment and course verification before the White Card can be issued. The assurance audit/verbal assessment is usually completed in 30 minutes, via a video call.

    When completing the assessment via video call, participants MUST have the following personal protective equipment (PPE): a hard hat, hearing protection, high-visibility vest and eye protection.
